Regular pinch back of the stems just above a leaf node is the best way to make any plants bushier.

    Hi Jordan, this looks like sunburn. Did you move the plant closer to sun anytime or was it getting direct sun than usual. You can try moving the plant from direct sunlight and cut of that portion of the leaf.
